Fujitsu wins IT contract from Toyota Motor

To consolidate existing IT agreements and provide managed desktop and service desk support

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu has signed a four-year IT services contract with Toyota Motor Australia, under which Fujitsu will consolidate existing IT agreements and provide managed desktop and service desk support.

Working as part of Toyota Australia’s IT department, Fujitsu will manage the consolidation and standardisation of existing midrange and mainframe agreements and the provision of end-to-end managed desktop and service desk into a single joint agreement.

Toyota Australia divisional manager for Information Systems James Scott said that the scope of the contract will enable them to lower operational costs, implement greater flexibility and reduce management time with their IT responsibilities.
