Fujitsu has released a 10.1" tablet that is being targeted for use within governments and enterprises.

Running on Windows 8.1, the STYLISTIC Q555 features an anti-glare WUXGA display, long battery life, attachable keyboard, and ‘enterprise grade’ security.

According to Jörg Hartmann, the global VP for client computing devices at Fujitsu, the tablet is ideal for mobilised roles.

He said: "Developed to an extremely high standard, its bright anti-glare WUXGA display supports touch and pen input. An attachable keyboard, enterprise-grade security, latest connectivity and a cradle allow users to accomplish their tasks, whether on the road, or in virtually any workplace."

The tablet weighs 655g and has a 10-hour battery life, with a toughened screen for ruggedized working. It comes with 4G/LTE connectivity as well as a SmartCard reader, NFC, fingerprint reader and encrypted SSD options.

The tablet will be available on a project basis for value-added resellers from December 2014 in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. Prices vary by configuration, said Fujitsu.
