Fujitsu has released an updated version of its application server, Interstage Application Server V11, which supports the new smart device development frameworks.
The new application server incorporates the new jQuery Mobile 1.1.1 development framework for smart devices to develop user-friendly applications for smartphones and tablet devices.
With support for the new version of Java, Java SE 7, the new release claimed to improve Java application development productivity by about 30%.
It also features the ability to simultaneously run business applications developed using multiple generations of Java, COBOL and C, enabling new processes that link with existing processes to be added without the need to modify the existing processes.
Interstage Application Server V11 includes an enhanced Smart Set-up feature, based on the Fujitsu Smart Software Technology, that can perform a series of deployment steps with a single command in 15 minutes.
Interstage Application Server Standard-J Edition V11 supports Windows Azure Guest OS 1.18~, Windows Azure Guest OS 2.6~.
