Fujitsu has introduced FUTRO C400, a new multi-workplace computing environment that allows a central PC’s resources to be shared between users.

Fujitsu said that organisations only need a single host desktop PC such as a Fujitsu ESPRIMO model, along with FUTRO C400 units and displays for each workplace, for setting up FUTRO C400 .

The new client consumes less power, uses less energy, generates less heat and can be replaced quickly if the device fails.

The company said that depending on the PC’s configuration, a single unit can host up to 30 simultaneous users.

Fujitsu UK & Ireland static client product marketing manager Paul Craddock said, the new FUTRO C400 is ideal for SMBs and schools that want to benefit from a thin client infrastructure but may not have a server-based back-end.
