Fujitsu debuts new Esprimo PC models

Features six-core AMD processors and halogen-free mainboards

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu has unveiled two new Esprimo PC models, Esprimo E5645, a small form-factor PC; and Esprimo P5645, a microtower, which combine AMD’s new six-core processors with Fujitsu’s technology.

The company said that it is offering the Esprimo systems with a spectrum of processors, starting at single core AMD Sempron and dual-core AMD Athlon II X2 processors for less demanding office applications, followed by quad-core AMD Phenom II X4 for more demanding applications and the six-core AMD Phenom II X2 processors for the highest demands.

Both Esprimo models have two PCI express slots to expand the system with two fast graphic cards enabling four monitors to be connected to the system at once. They embody AMD onboard graphics chip, Radeon HD4200 with Direct X10.1 support that allows users to connect two displays to the two digital ports, and are prepared for fast I/O cards such as USB 3.0 cards.

In addition, both Esprimo models feature halogen-free mainboards and Fujitsu’s Green PC technology, and are built to achieve up to 87% power supplies efficiency. The family concept with same BIOS for both systems reduces evaluation time and costs for customers by reducing customers’ evaluation effort, the company claims.

Rajat Kakar, vice president of clients group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions, said: "The New Esprimo PCs will delight high-performance users, such as those who need to run multiple intensive programs simultaneously without bogging down the system.

"Fujitsu’s proven technology combined with the latest AMD chipset, processor and manageability features, provide the best performance for the price, and continues our company’s long history of providing innovative, reliable and environmentally responsible products, incorporating the latest cutting-edge technology into every product."
