FUJI XEROX DEVELOPING A TROUBLE-SHOOTING SYSTEM FOR WORKSTATIONS

By CBR Staff Writer

Fuji Xerox is developing a trouble-shooting system for workstations – starting with the J-Star II station, and plans to extend it to other office equipment such as copiers: running on the Xerox 1121 and written in InterLisp, it uses an expert system with a knowledge base of 300 rules, and Fuji Xerox is hoping to have it ready within a year.
