FUJI ELECTRIC ANNOUNCES PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER

Fuji Electric has announced a programmable controller that uses an intermediate code called Functional Language that is designed to run on personal computers and to convert any language into a common machine code: it borrows some concepts from Lisp, and Fuji has incorporated micros using Functional Language in its production processes; it plans to begin marketing the product in late 1987.
