Andover, Massachusetts-based FTP Software Inc warns it expects to incur a loss of $5m to $7m in the current quarter. It said revenue from continuing operations in the fourth quarter was anticipated to be in a range of $22m to $24m. Looking forward to 1997, FTP said it saw revenue growing in the range of 25% to 30% over 1996. It expects losses in the first half of 1997 as the VIP Network product plan was implemented, with operating profits realized thereafter. FTP unveiled its plan for the Virtual IP, or VIP Network, a set of software products to manage Internet protocol infrastructures.
