Frontier Technologies Corp, Mequon, Wisconsin has what it claims to be the most versatile World Wide Web server around, one that can turn anybody within an organisation into a Webmeister. SuperWeb Server will run under Microsoft Corp’s Windows NT, Windows 3.1 or Windows95, making it suitable as either a small server for internal information or a commercial server, including on-line financial transaction, claimed the company. The server supports several users accessing it from their desktop personal computers simultaneously, so they can update their own files. A higher level of security is also included to maintain overall data integrity, which can be done remotely from any client computer. In an offer that stands until Christmas, SuperWeb Server costs $800 and includes 10 client licences of SuperTCP for Windows, and the CyberSearch Internet resource and browser product, which would normally cost around $1,900.
