FROM NET STATION TO BUS STATION?

By CBR Staff Writer

Some things in life are always associated with waiting – standing at a bus stop and the world wide web. So it is perhaps natural that they should join up together with plans developed by British Telecommunications Plc and Suffolk County Council in the UK. Each bus will be fitted with a tracking device and the results transmitted to a web site so that passengers can see exactly where their bus is and leave their departure to the bus stop until the last possible minute. Great theory but unless the people of Suffolk have fast internet access, they may find waiting for the web site as irritating as waiting for the bus.
