Difficult market conditions have since forced the regulator to lower the initial cost and extend the duration of the license. The same changes have been granted to both Orange and SFR who won licenses in the first auction.
The regulator will study Bouygues’ application before it decides whether it is successful. However, there is still one 3G license remaining; so far, it is unclear what will happen to it.
