FRANCE TELECOM, SEMA EXPAND UK FACILITIES MANAGEMENT VENTURE

By CBR Staff Writer

Extending the alliance forged when France Telecom bought a stake in the Anlgo-French company last year (CI No 2,030), the state phone company and Sema Group Plc have created a joint venture to exploit Sema’s expertise in facilities management here in the UK. The joint venture will be equally owned by Sema and by France Telecom’s Telecom Logiciels et Systemes subsidiary; it will take a 49% stake in the Sema Group Facilities Management subsidiary so that the France Telecom software and systems business ends up with an effective 24.5% of Sema’s Facilities Management unit with Sema retaining 75.5%, the companies announced.
