At present there are a total of 37.8 million wireless phone users in France. The telecoms regulator ART is expected to publish comprehensive data about mobile phone users and trends later on in the week.
Interestingly, although mobile phone penetration in France is comparatively low in comparison with the rest of Europe, it is still higher than fixed line penetration.
