Both the companies will initially focus on the Bluetooth headset market for mono and stereo headsets and hands-free car kit products. Current Bluetooth headset designs rely on buttons to control input commands.

Todd Mozer, president and chief executive at Sensory said: This technology will make it easier for headset companies to get to market fast with a high quality, low cost Bluetooth headset that uses a voice user interface (VUI).

By working together, Foxlink and Sensory believe they can speed the time to develop VUI based Bluetooth headset for marketers. The companies claimed that this technology allows for safe control of Bluetooth products in a car that helps in answering calls without loosing the control over the car.

In December 2006, Qualcomm introduced two new Bluetooth solutions, the BTS4020 and BTR1722. The BTS4020 solution is a Bluetooth system-on-a-chip (SoC) designed for mobile handsets featuring a full set of pre-integrated Bluetooth profile offerings for mobile station modem (MSM) chipsets. The BTR1722 solution is a Bluetooth transceiver optimized for mobile handsets with direct conversion architecture for minimized interference with mobile handset frequencies.
