FORTE ANTICIPATES FIRST QUARTER LOSS AFTER FAST GROWTH

By CBR Staff Writer

Applications partitioning software development company Forte Software Inc, which is due to report its first quarter earnings after the markets close on Monday July 21, says it expects revenue to be in the range of $14.5m to $15m, and it is anticipating a loss of $0.11 to $0.12 per share. First Call had been expecting earnings per share to be $0.06 for the first quarter. Oakland, California-based Forte blames the loss on the fast growth of its North American sales force, which it is trying to organize to reach its required productivity levels.
