Other strategies used by Fonality to enhance its phone systems include partnerships with solution providers in France, Poland, Italy and the UK to resell and support its product, trixbox Pro phone system. It has also entered into a partnership with PC Mall to distribute its business phone system, PBXtra to SMBs.
Insightful is a SugarCRM gold partner for the Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific regions and hosts more than 1,000 seats in 13 countries. The company claims that the combination of Insightful’s CRM with Fonality’s telephony suite will enable small businesses to provide their employees with presence management, instant messaging, fixed and mobile calling, and a view of customers and business partners.
Fonality has over 1,000 hybrid-hosted call centers deployed in 25 different countries and our hybrid-hosted platform is a powerful framework for delivering integrated applications directly to the SMB with no investment in premise equipment required, said Chris Lyman, chief executive officer at Fonality. Telephony and CRM have a naturally concentric relationship, so this is a good place to leverage hybrid.
As part of the deal, Fonality will also sell Insightful’s CRM managed service offering FonalityCRM, which integrates Sugar Professional with Fonality’s PBXtra and trixbox Pro IP-PBX applications. It also provides click-to-call dialing, agent screen pops, and telephone campaign management for outbound sales teams. Sugar Professional is SugarCRM’s open source CRM application.
After the acquisition, Marc Englaro, the chief executive and co-founder of Insightful will be the general manager of Fonality’s CRM division.
