The system allows large datasets to be transported reliably across IP networks, even in environments where connections may be unstable and fail regularly, and is said to offer advantages over email, ftp, and web downloads or mailing CDs and USBkeys. There is no size limit to the data that can be delivered using the software, the Cambridge, UK-based company claims.

It is targeting use among legal, accountancy, and management professionals, and people sending and receiving rich media such as marketing collateral.

The system, which starts at around $1,850, is designed to stop large email attachments from blocking mail boxes and slowing the corporate network. It will work on lines that use a standard modem, broadband, or a T1 business connection.

For security, it uses authentication and encryption features and does not compromise the corporate firewall in that data is only transferred on Ports 80 and 443.
