The innovative but commercially crippled Inmos Transputer- and Weitek mathematics co-processor-based T-series of parallel processors from Floating Point Systems Inc, Beaverton, Oregon, may not have achieved much in the way of sales in the US, but it has scored its first order in Japan: the Kyoto University of Industrial Arts and Textiles in Kyoto has ordered a T/20 model valued at $422,000.
