The creator behind the popular mobile game ‘Flappy Bird’ is releasing his new creation ‘Swing Copters’, a successor to earlier mobile gaming title, today.

Unlike its predecessor, the new game scrolls vertically, with players tapping to make a propellor-hat-wearing character move from one side to another, keeping away from platforms and swinging hammers.

Swing Copters will be available as a free download via Apple App Store and Google Play, with players able to pay an optional $0.99 via in-app purchase to get rid of advertising from the game.

Earlier this month, Flappy Bird made its re entry with Flappy Birds Family in Amazon’s app store which is a multiplayer gaming title currently attuned only with Amazon’s Fire TV.

Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen reportedly cut the wings of Flappy Bird by nixing it from the Apple’s App Store and Google Play in February, and blocked all future downloads, claiming that the game had busted his life.

Towering to the top of iPhone and Android app downloads, the game had been downloaded about 50 million times, and received over half million reviews in the Apple’s iOS App Store.
