The company plans to open IT and BPO centers in the country and acquire Indian companies to increase its presence in what it sees as a growing Indian financial services sector and check-processing market. The company also plans to offer services to its global clients form India.
The first center in Noida opens in April 2006 and will eventually house 1,000 employees, half of which will be dedicated to BPO operations. Fiserv plans to set up two more centers in two other cities by 2007.
