FIRST SOFTWARE TO BE SOLE UK AGENT FOR INTEL’S INBOARD 386/AT

Basingstoke-based First Software will be the sole UK agent for Intel Corp’s Inboard 386/AT which is scheduled to start shipping at the end of March; the add-in board features a 16MHz 80386 processor, up to 1Mb RAM with an option of an additional 2Mb on a piggyback board, and an optional 10MHz 80287 maths co-processor which can be replaced by the 80387 when that becomes available later this year; Inboard 386/AT starts at UKP1,740 and will be part of First Software’s ‘Power User’ display, aimed at converting existing IBM AT users to the speed of the 80386, at this month’s Which Computer? Show.
