The first module, Asset Operational, of the WIMS2 Works Information Management System has been installed at the Poole Hospital, Middlesborough: the Department of Health & Social Security commissioned London-based Digitus Ltd to produce a system design for WIMS2, the software to be written in C and to use the Unify Database manager; the package sells for around UKP200,000 but Health Service organisations get WIMS2 software without charge.
