FIRST FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFERS $343m FOR COMDATA NETWORK

Data processing services company First Financial Management Corp of Atlanta, Georgia has offered $342.7m in cash and shares for Nashville, Tennessee-based electronic money transfer specialist Comdata Network Inc. It is offering half a First Financial share plus cash to bring the effective price to $18 a share. The proposal will be pursued only if it is accepted and approved by Comdata’s directors.
