FIRST COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN

By CBR Staff Writer

First Computer Ltd, the retail computer chain latterly owned by Heron Group, has failed to achieve its objective of break-even, and thus, unable to raise cash for a management buyout, has closed down with a loss of 60 jobs, but will honour existing commitments. It reduced itself to just two outlets, from a previous 11, in August (CI No 493).
