FirePower Systems Inc wants to get in ahead of IBM Corp’s announcement today , and claims that it has the industry’s first videoconferencing-ready PowerPC systems. The systems are available with InVision videoconferencing, have video compression software p re-installed and are preconfigured for one- and two- way conferencing. The company has also added models in its Powerized MX line that use the new 120MHz and 133MHz PowerPC 604 microprocessors; the new are the MX4133/2, MX4133/1, MX4120/2 and MX4120/1 systems and logic boards will be out with the videoconferencing capabilities next quarter, in single and dual processor configurations at from $4,000 to $7,000.
