Firefox Corp and Worldtalk Corp, the Los Gatos, California company, plan a collaboration to work together to convert the latter’s 400 Server family of messaging integration products to Novell Inc UnixWare. According to Firefox, based in Solihull, West Midlands, the Worldtalk products currently provide services for address management that include table and rules-based translation, auto-registration of names between electronic mail systems, and mail forwarding services. Versions are available to run on Unix SMTP, Internet mail, Microsoft Mail for iAPX-86 and AppleTalk networks as well as Lotus Development Corp’s cc:Mail, Lotus Notes, CE Software Inc’s QuickMail, Wordperfect Office, now renamed and called Symmetry, and NetWare Global MHS. Firefox is to market the products and is aiming to finish development work by the end of the year.
