Solihull, West Midlands-based Firefox Communications Ltd has unveiled the latest versions of NOV*IX for NetWare and NOV*OS for NetWare (CI No 2,638). The NOV*IX provides NetWare users with secure and centralised access to any TCP/IP host, including the Internet; with this release it brings support for NetWare Directory Services-enabled NetWare 4.1 environments to NOV*IX users. NOV*OS, an offering for Open Systems Interconnection communications within the NetWare local area network environment, also provides NetWare Directory Services compatibility and features a hot stand-by server option, which the company says enables the server to be loaded with an exact copy of NOV*OS. A secondary server detects this replica on the network and will take over full operation if the first copy should fail. Both offerings will be out this month. Pricing is yet to be announced.
