FILENET TO START DIRECT SALES IN EUROPE

FileNet Corp, which builds integrated optical-disk-based office automation systems in Costa Mesa, California, plans to establish direct sales and customer support operations in France, West Germany and Canada this year. The FileNet products have hitherto been available in Europe only from Olivetti, which is an investor in the company and launched its products in late 1984. 3M Document Systems Division also sells FileNet kit specifically for engineering drawing applications.
