Costa Mesa, California-based FileNet Corp has come out with versions of its WorkFlo software for personal computers running Microsoft Corp Windows 3.0. The WorkFlo Business System includes the WorkForce Desktop and WorkShop development environment, and is designed to enable easy manipulation of documents stored on FileNet’s optical disk-bacekd image filing systems. It is designed to enable users automatically to prioritise, display, annotate, schedule and route transactions; direct the imaging system to retrieve document-images and distribute them over the network for display; automate management tasks such as productivity measurement, report generation, and adjustment of employee workloads and schedules; and incorporate AutoForm software to create forms as well as form templates to capture, validate and store coded data in designated fields. WorkForce Desktop costs from $1,250 to $2,145 per personal computers; WorkFlo development for Windows costs $8,000 and AutoForm development for Windows is $1,000; all are available in the US now.
