FieldView Solutions has launched version 3.2 of its data centre management software.
The company’s core platform allows data centre managers, IT personnel, facilities managers and C-level executives to see how their critical environments are performing.
The platform’s metrics and reporting engine provides real-time information that allows data centre operators to optimise rack/room space utilisation, energy efficiency, and infrastructure resiliency.
FieldView Solutions claimed that its new platform optimises space and energy usage in complex data centre environments and significantly enhances security features, access and permissions.
FieldView Solutions chief strategy officer David Schirmacher said that the new features are all about accessibility of data to all decision makers.
"The user decides who can look at power, assets and performance, from a global portfolio view all the way down to a rack at a specific site," Schirmacher said.
The company said that the its development team have already started to work on version 4.0, which is expected to be released in the fall 2010.
