FIBERMUX REPORT KEY CUSTOMER OPERATIONS RE-ESTABLISHED

By CBR Staff Writer

Chatsworth, California was well within the high damage area of the San Fernando Valley earthquake, and Fibermux Corp reported yesterday that key customer operations have been re-established, and it is moving quickly to reopen its headquarters facility: we are very lucky that our facilities had only minimal damage and that Fibermux employees suffered only minor injuries and no fatalities, said Bruce Brown, Fibermux president; the company says its main facility, three miles from the epicentre, suffered some structural damage but repairs have already begun, and it expects to be operational by next week; in the interim, it has set up a sales operation for its hubs and multiplexers at its Atlanta regional office and is maintaining customer service operations from Dallas.
