FERRANTI TO JOIN SIEMENS CONSORTIUM BIDDING FOR RADAR CONTRACT

Ferranti International Signal Plc is thought to have won agreement from Siemens AG to join its consortium bidding for the radar contract for the European Fighter Aircraft project: the other members, Inisel SA of Spain and Fiar SpA of Italy win either way because according to the Financial Times, they are also in the competing consortium, which is headed by AEG AG and includes GEC Plc’s GEC Marconi subsidiary.
