The Federal Bureau of Investigation has told the Freedom Forum that its agents did not compel a New York ISP to take down a client’s site. Performance artist Mike Zieper says his service provider BECamation shut down his web site, crowdedtheater.com, after FBI agents objected to a video he had made. The video purported to show federal agents being trained to incite riots in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. Special agent James Margolin said: No specific request was made to discontinue the site or disable the site. The way our people were viewing the shutdown was that the people operating the site did so voluntarily. BECamation’s Mark Wieger remembers the conversation differently. He says FBI agents threatened him with litigation if he did not comply with their requests.
