Faximum Software Inc, Vancouver, British Columbia, is offering a suite of Swift tools that it claims can facsimile-enable most Unix-based Web or electronic mail servers on the Internet. When added to a Web or electronic mail server, Faximum says, Swift enables users to send and receive messages by using their existing Web browser or electronic mail. Swift supports personal telephone books, default parameters stored on a per-user basis (including signatures), broadcastlists and arbitrary file attachments. A Swift beta version is up under Solaris, production versions ship in 90 days. HP-UX, Linux, SunOS, Santa Cruz OpenServer and other versions are under way. Prices go from $2,300, there is an introductory price of $1,885. Customers using Faximum Client/Server software get Swift for $400 for a limited period.
