FAR EAST ABACUS BUYS 10% STAKE IN THE US PARS SYSTEM

There are now five airlines in the Far East Abacus air reservations consortium – Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Malaysian Airlines, China Airlines and Philippine Airlines, and the consortium has agreed to buy a 10% stake in the US PARS system owned by Trans World Airlines and Northwest Airlines, and to collaborate with the Amadeus system of Air France, Lufthansa, Iberia and SAS in Europe.
