We have partnered with major service providers in Europe. However, we do not have a presence in the Asia-Pacific region in this segment. We plan to tie up with mobile operators in the country to leverage on the growing market, said Jari Heinonen, vice president, Asia-Pacific region at F-Secure Corporation, to the Economic Times.

Mr Heinonen also expects the need for security solutions with the growing new value-added services. According to Economic times, the mobile subscriber base in India has crossed 200 million and is expected to reach 500 million by 2010.

The rest of the world (barring Europe & the US) contributes to around 9% of our revenues from the ISP segment. We will also be looking at expanding our customer base in the SME segment. We have two distributors in the country and are planning to strengthen our reseller base here, he added.

During November 2007, F-Secure partnered with Indian broadband and telephone service provider Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services to provide data security to the its broadband subscribers across the country.
