F I GROUP IS NOW 51%-CONTROLLED BY ITS EMPLOYEES AND THEIR RELATIVES

Software, services and training company F I Group Plc, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, has announced the outcome of its staff share offer, reported last month (CI No 1,771). Some 43% of the equity and 51% of the voting power now lies in the hands of the company’s employees and their immediate relatives. A minimum of 400,000 shares were offered by Granville & Co Ltd at UKP2.70 per share, capitalising F I at UKP6m. By the offer’s closing date, valid acceptances totalling UKP1.2m had been received for 453,880 shares. An internal market for the shares is being established, under which trading will take place through a dealing day system, initially operating twice a year. In the year to April 30, F I reported pre-tax profits of UKP1.3m on sales of UKP20m.
