Seattle, Washington-headquartered Express Systems has announced what it claims as the first licence management system integrated with SMS, Microsoft Corp’s Systems Management Server. Duenext month, Express’s Enterprise Optimization Module is an add-on to its Express Meter licence management product, extending the latter’s dynamic licence assignment features to the enterprise level. The Enterprise Optimization Module is said to use Systems Management Server to facilitate licence management across an enterprise by transferring and consolidating data from Express Meter libraries, installed on servers across the enterprise, through Systems Management Server to a central location where it is presented in the standard Systems Management Server console. Priced at $500 per server, the Enterprise Optimization Module/Systems Management Server edition will be available from November 1.
