IBM mainframe expert system tools developer Aion Corp, Palo Alto, California has signed a co-operative marketing agreement with Cincom Systems Inc, Cincinnati, Ohio under which Cincom will assist Aion in marketing the Aion Development System from its 30 offices in North America. The companies will jointly document the interfaces between Cincom’s Supra relational database management system and Mantis applications generator, and the Aion Development System. Aion will also participate in Cincom’s Computer-Aided Software Engineering Alliance Programme, designed to bring together companies able to contribute products that together address all phases of applications development. Cincom used the Aion system to develop an internal help desk prototype for assisting in software support, and its experience led to the joint marketing agreement.
