Ex-Compaq boss quits Hewlett-Packard

One of the individuals who helped lead Compaq Computer Corp's merger with Hewlett Packard Co [HPQ] is reported to have resigned, increasing the number of high-level HP executives who have quit the company.

Former Compaq chief financial officer and head of global operations Jeff Clarke is reported to have resigned, having worked to cut costs from the new company’s supply chain and distribution systems.

Clarke joins former head of strategy Mary McDowell, Howard Elias and Michael Capellas in quitting HP.
