Believe it or not, EMAP reckons that Olympia is no longer big enough for the European Unix User Show, so the event that opens there today will be the last at the Kensington venue: next year it will be up to the wilds of North London, to historic Alexandra Palace, where on a still day, if you listen carefully, you can sometimes still hear the ghostly echoes of the BBC Television Newsreel theme music.
