Despite the loss of the Simware account in the UK (CI No 1,049), Boole & Babbage-owned distributor, The European Software Company, seems set to report annual increases in both profits and turnover: last year TESC contributed some $24m to the parent’s balance sheet, which – as 60% of consolidated revenues – served to elevate the then TESC chief, Han Bruggeling, to Boole & Babbage presidency; under the Bruggeling regime, Boole & Babbage has been divided into two separate divisions – distribution and product development.
