IT services companies in Europe are outperforming their US counterparts, according to a report by Regent Associates, a London, UK-based IT mergers and acquisitions advisor. Regent has compiled two indices to monitor the US and European industries, and found that whereas US services revenue growth has slowed to 17%, European revenue growth remains strong at 38%. A consequence of this is the generally stronger earnings per share performance of Eruropean players, which Regent said grew 35%, compared to 28% in the US. Regent sees these trends persisting. US firms have taken on only 8% more staff in preparation for next year, in contrast to the Europe’s figure of 34%.
