Following last week’s indictment of Felix Somm, the managing director of the German unit of CompuServe Corp for allegedly aiding the dissemination of pornography on the Internet, the European Parliament said Thursday it wants to clean things up and, reports Reuters, called for international agreements, industry self-regulation, and teams of cybersleuths to prosecute those who disemminate such material; Internet service providers, said Euro MPs, should be held criminally liable for transmitting illicit material or putting it on their systems.
