ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network offerings, has said that European telecommunications service operator e-téra has selected its ZXWDM product for long-haul bearer network.
The ZXWDM offering enables operators to boost their networks to a rate of 100 Gbps per wavelength, providing super-large long-haul capability.
The offering draws upon its fibre optic network to provide businesses with both voice and data services and deploy operators’ access networks, to offer Internet access to consumers through their fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) offerings.
Operator e-tera said that it had selected ZXWDM to restructure its nationwide optical backbone infrastructure covering over 5,000 km and linking cities such as Paris, Orleans, Bordeaux, Biarritz, Toulouse, Marseille, Lyon, and Geneva.
ZTE France manager Daniel Bessieres said their offering will enable e-téra to maintain a robust and durable network, while offering their end-users an optimal experience.
