Emergency Technologies has announced that the City of San Antonio’s Fire Department has gone live with its National Fire Incident Reporting System module, which is part of its Visual Fire software suite.

This deployment completes Phase-I of Emergency Technologies’s (ETI) contract to provide a fire records management system to the City of San Antonio, Texas.

In August 2008, ETI executed a contract with the City of San Antonio to implement ETI’s Visual Fire, a public safety software system. The implementation of Visual Fire’s National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) module allows the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) to be in compliance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency NFIRS 5.0 national standard.

The Visual Fire application integrates fire incident reporting, EMS patient care reporting, mobile field reporting, training and certification records, hydrant information and structural pre-plans, along with several additional modules that will provide the SAFD with modern technology that is expected to increase operational efficiency throughout the department, said ETI.

Kyle Breischaft, president and CEO of ETI, said: The initial phase of the San Antonio project has been a tremendous success and I think it further demonstrates ETI’s expertise in implementing a large-scale solution. We are extremely proud to have SAFD as a customer and excited to complete this phase.
