3Com Corp, Mountain View, California, has won the backing of two of the biggest players on the Scandinavian scene, Esselte AB of Sweden and Nokia OY of Finland: each has signed a distribution and OEM pact involving 3Com’s full line of network products for workgroup computing: the two contracts are expected to be worth a mininum of $10m over three years; this year 3Com also plans to open two more offices, one in West Germany and another in Hong Kong, and the latter will service its Asia-Pacific business, where the company generates about 25% of its total international revenues.
