Esoft, a UK company which bills itself as Europe’s first IASP (internet application service provider), has become an executive member of ASPIC (the Application Service Provider Industry Consortium), and says it will use its membership to propagate its own Managed Internet Applications service among independent software vendors (CI No 3,691).
Esoft’s MIA offering includes a service which will allow ISVs to demonstrate their applications in a remotely-hosted mode, without first having had to set up a service of their own. The company claims four firms, including a top five software, house are close to inking deals to use MIA as a promotional and, eventually a service delivery vehicle, for their products.
