Esker SA, the Lyons, France PC-to-host middleware vendor, has reported a 35% increase in midterm revenue to $11.3m. Growth accelerated to 49% by the second quarter when results included Alcom Inc, the Mountain View, California-based company it acquired earlier this year.

This month the acquisitive Esker, quoted on France’s Nouveau Marche, agreed to buy Persoft Inc, a Madison, Wisconsin developer of remote data access software, and this will add almost 70% to Esker’s revenue. Directors say this gives them reason to be confident about the second half. PC-to-host and web-to-host software accounted for 67% of Esker’s revenue in the second quarter with a further 28% coming from fax server products.
