Sorry about that, but we’re all going to have to wait a bit longer for those new baby ES/9000s from IBM Corp – nothing serious stirred yesterday; and Sievers Consulting (UK) Ltd reckons that if it has got IBM’s arcane numbering system sussed, an ES/9221 Model 421 should be a dyadic – the first digit is the technology level, the second the number of processors, the third the number of sides – but then a 191 would have an unlikely nine processors and the 201 none… with the 9XX models, there is also a problem with the 10-way expected on April 7 – perhaps it appear as the 9X2.
